Michael D. Shankle, MPH |
Michael is currently the Prevention and Policy Manager with HealthHIV in Washington, DC.
He works with Mayors and other elected/appointment leaders to foster municipal scale-up of
HIV prevention and care initiatives through education, capacity building, technical
assistance, and health services research. Michael has significant experience in recruiting
high-risk, marginalized populations of individuals into research and services. He also
collaborates with community-based organizations, consumer groups, faith-based communities,
and universities to develop targeted behavioral interventions and research based projects
focusing on the GLBT community. Michael's Masters of Public Health degree is from the
University of Pittsburgh.
